The Site

Founded in 1968, Intel's Santa Clara site is home to Intel's corporate headquarters where a breadth of business and manufacturing activities take place. Consisting of three major campuses (Mission College, Walsh and Bowers), as well as some smaller office buildings, the Intel Santa Clara site totals over three million square feet of office and manufacturing space. Intel Santa Clara is involved in integrated circuit manufacturing, process development, chip design and engineering, research and development, and is home to several corporate organizations, including sales and marketing, legal, supply network and human resources.

The Santa Clara site manufactures Intel® Pentium® processors based on the 0.13-micron process, as well as some flash memory products.

Each year, over 100,000 people from around the world visit the Intel® Museum to learn about Intel's history and the evolution of computer technology. The museum provides excerpts of audio interviews from some of Intel's early employees, including comments from Intel Chairman Andy Grove and company founders Gordon Moore and Robert Noyce. Visitors can also view photographs, video presentations, TV advertisements, products and other artifacts from the museum's collection of more than 60,000 historic items.
