Intel Hudson is about 30 miles west of Boston, leaving residents within an hour of world-class universities, museums, sporting events and symphony orchestra. Eastern Massachusetts is home to a diverse population and more than 80 colleges and universities. Many excellent Massachusetts schools are close to Intel's Hudson site.

Popular leisure activities in the area include skiing (downhill and cross-country), boating and running. The Boston Marathon, held once a year, is one of the most popular marathons in the nation. The recent growth of the Hudson area has also spurred the introduction of many outdoor-oriented clubs that can quickly introduce newcomers to the New England area and involve them in a combination of many outdoor recreation activities.
