At Intel's Fort Collins design center, our engineers design and deliver high-performance Intel® Itanium® microprocessors utilized in enterprise class servers and high-performance technical computing. We are focused on every aspect of world-class microprocessor development, from micro-architectural definition through the logic design, circuit design, layout, and validation.
The design center in located in a newly refurbished 200,000 square-foot building on a 30-acre site. Amenities include a café, exercise and multicultural room. Employees take their talent and dedication beyond Intel's walls into the community, where they are actively involved in local education and civic programs. In 2005, Intel contributed $1,290,197 in cash, volunteerism and in-kind contributions in Colorado.
The Fort Collins Design Center is located along Colorado's Front Range in the community of Fort Collins, 60 miles north of
Denver. The area has exceptionally nice weather with over 300 days of sunshine per year, allowing residents to take advantage of numerous outdoor activities
including skiing, hiking and biking. The area features 23 miles of trails, 40 parks, and 6 nearby golf courses. The revitalized old town Fort Collins is popular
with locals and tourists alike with many restaurants, shops and activities including a Science Museum. Fort Collins is home to New Belgium*, Anheuser Busch* and four
other breweries. Annual events include the Colorado BrewFest*, New West Fest*, First Night*, two marathons held each year and world class venues for music and performing
arts.
